The Gateway to Biodiversity

Bordeaux’s quest to attain 100% sustainable wine production across the region may have once been regarded as a bold endeavor. Today, more than 65% of producers hold sustainable wine certifications, and the region is on track to achieve full compliance by 2030.

“Sustainability is crazily complex. There is really no one answer for all winegrowers,” explains Master Sommelier, Laura Williamson. “It’s not a one size fits all approach. Biodiversity serves as the launchpad for sustainable actions.”
