My first forays into wine began in New York City at a time that imported wines were the beverage of choice. That is where my love of Bordeaux began tasting regional wines from Rothschild and Barton & Guestier. It continued in my professional career working in retail and restaurants. As part of my daily job responsibilities on the wholesale level Bordeaux was an important part of my portfolio. I have been a strong supporter of the region for over 35 years. When the opportunity to become a tutor was presented it further enhanced my ability to teach of the region, its producers and wines. I have been fortunate thru the years to speak of Bordeaux at consumer events, conferences, universities and with the wine trade. As a past President and advisor of the Society of Wine Educators I always supported Bordeaux wherever it was possible at our events. As an advisor to Sommcon I was fortunate to speak on Bordeaux as well. I am a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) and a Certified Spirts Educator (CSE) with the Society of Wine Educators and hold various level awards with other educational organizations.
